Who We Are
Blue Sky Disaster Relief is a non-profit, charitable organization that assembles and distributes relief kits to natural disaster victims.
The organization was founded by Leo, a high school student whose house had been destroyed by a tornado when he was younger.
In 2023, Leo began noticing more natural disasters occurring worldwide, which encouraged him to help. He knew that although he could recover, other natural disaster victims worldwide might not be able to. This thought motivated him to research and begin creating the first Blue Sky relief kits.
What We Do
The Focus of Our Efforts
Relief Kit Creation
Each Blue Sky Relief kit is hand-made by Leo and his family, along with several helpful volunteers. The kits are designed to assist in the victims' recovery.
To ensure that these kits are helpful to victims, Leo spent hours researching, talking to experts, and remembering his tornado experience so that every item in each kit is useful.
Relief Kit Distribution
To distribute these kits, Leo and his family personally drive to the site of the disaster and give away the relief kits to the victims.
Some of the natural disaster victims we visit have lost everything they had, and these kits help make their recovery process easier.
Providing Support
Aside from just handing out relief kits, Leo and his family also help the victims with providing moral support - especially to other teens and young children.
Some parts of the recovery process are very difficult to do alone, so Blue Sky is dedicated to assisting these victims with their recovery.
